Pendant "Petrushka"

The earliest Christmas trees were decorated with apples to symbolize the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge. Later, the fruit gave way to glass spheres that collected light and deflected evil spells. The pendant mimics Christmas ornaments from The Nutcracker. The delicate lines of foil symbolize rain and fertility, while multicoloured lines evoke Maypole ribbons.
