MTM Forum was held in St. Petersburg from April, 14 to 17 and united theater managers from Russia and CIS countries, as well as students of leading theatrical institutions of higher education. The forum participants had a unique opportunity to get acquainted not with the theory, but with the most interesting practices from beginners and experienced managers, with specific cases, numerals and facts. On April 16, the participants discussed a hot topic about the fate of the state theater, the need for a reset and effective management. It is symbolic that this day of the forum was held on the unique modern platform Arts Square Gallery on Italianskaya str., 5, which unites the conceptual souvenir shop and art gallery with a rich collection of paintings. In addition to the permanent exhibition of the gallery, a collection of jewelry miniatures by Mikhail Shemyakin created jointly with the jewelry house SASONKO was presented specially for the forum participants. The collection is based on metaphysical images, phantasmagoric illustrations and theatrical sketches of costumes and scenery created by Shemyakin for the Mariinsky Theater for its ballets "The Nutcracker" and "The Magic Nut". It was also possible to see the collection the next day of the forum, which was held in the restaurant "Social club" Rubinstein str., 40/11. On April, 17 the forum participants could discuss the problem of the development of the author's art in the contemporary art market, as was described by Mikhail Sasonko, the founder and ideologist of the SASONKO Jewelry House, the creative inspirer and producer of several successful jewelry collections, philanthropist, antiquarian, collector.
